Odd Future crooner Frank Ocean had to cancel his New York show on Sunday (Nov. 6) due to problems with his voice. The cancellation comes a day after the singer kicked off his mini-tour in his native city of New Orleans on Saturday (Nov. 7).

While fans were waiting outside of the venue, Ocean went on his Tumblr page to issue the bad news on a post titled "New York Is Cancelled."

or should i say postponed. i played last night in new orleans, on antibiotics and some other meds. got sick a cpl days before i left los angeles. woke up this morning in new york and could barely speak. called a doctor to my hotel, got a steroid shot. took some more meds. laid in bed all day till soundcheck, got to the venue and could barely sing any of my songs. im really sorry yall. i been workin on this show for months, did everything i could to make it special for yall. i’ll be back soon as i’m healthy. thats my word. tickets will be valid for that, or you guys can get refunded. damn. this s--t sucks."

Ocean's show in New Orleans on Saturday went off without a hitch as Ocean performed fan favorites like 'Swim Good,' 'Thinking of You' and 'Novacane.' In addition, he tackled covers songs by Sade ('By Your Side') and Elton John ('Bennie and the Jets').

Ocean's next stop on his trek is Amsterdam (Nov. 8 ), followed by Paris (Nov. 9), London (Nov. 11) and Los Angeles (Nov. 15). No word if any of those shows have been cancelled, as well.
