Former 'American Idol' contestant and Christina Aguilera team member Frenchie Davis performed the David Guetta/Kelly Rowland track "When Love Takes Over" to close out the first night of live performances on 'The Voice.'

Davis, who defeated Tarralyn Ramsey in the battle rounds, is getting another opportunity to win over the public after she was disqualified from 'Idol' several years ago.

"This is my chance to prove to America that I deserve to be here," said Davis. "I've waited more than 10 years to be able to share my talent. Hopefully, I can win America over."

Davis appeared onstage for the live performance in a tight black dress and sang the song with the power and confidence of a veteran R&B singer. After the song, Adam Levine said, "There's just something so beautiful about you … and you made me really love that song."

Aguilera praised her team member, telling Davis, "Adam's right when he says there's something beautiful about you … it's your aura, it's your beautiful face, it's how you come alive and your poise and your presence onstage."
