A telephone pole-anchored tether couldn't have held free spirit Stephanie Tanner down through Fuller House Season 1, but when the show returns for its next batch of episodes, expect Steph's heart to find a home base...at least for a little while.

According to TVLinethe show is looking to cast a love interest named Jimmy for Jodie Sweetin's character. The guy will be a "gifted singer-songwriter" who will see life "differently than the rest of the world" (he'll also be "great-looking" and "sexy," naturally). The site adds Jimmy will be sort of a "weirdo," which could complement a statuesque blond DJ who enjoys tequila shots pretty perfectly.

Stephanie briefly dated San Francisco Giants right fielder Hunter Pence during Fuller House Season 1, but dumped him when she buckled under the pressure of being a public figure's girlfriend.

In the event Steph and Jimmy get serious, the character could possibly dive more deeply into issues of infertility, which she's so far only hinted at during an emotional conversation with sister DJ. Show creator Jeff Davis said it was always his plan to use the show as a point of dialogue.

"I wanted one of the three not to have kids," he said, referring to show patriarch Danny Tanner's three daughters. "The backstory I created for her was that she's a free spirit traveling the world. She's into her career and having fun, and I thought this would be a really interesting aspect to that character — and touching."

What do you think of Stephanie's potentially new relationship news? Sound off, and catch Fuller House on Netflix now.
