Game, ‘Uncle Otis’ (Jay-Z Diss) – Song Review
In an obvious attempt to get some promotion for his upcoming disc, 'The R.E.D. Album' (due Aug. 23), Game pokes fun at some of hip-hop's elite in his new song, 'Uncle Otis.' The Compton, Calif., rapper insists that it's not a diss track to Jay-Z and Kanye with their song 'Otis,' yet he throws some serious jabs at the veteran rhyme-slingers.
"Here's a dome shot to this n---a named Otis / N----s think they the coldest, but they just the oldest / N----s be chasing they youth, but its gone / Yo, ‘Ye this n---a didn’t even want to put you on," he spits on the rollicking track.
The song is hilarious, and Game throws some zingy one-liners and mimics the voices of several rappers to a tee. Among his targets of humiliation include Rick Ross, Frank Ocean, Big Sean, Shyne, Miguel, Drake and Odd Future's Tyler the Creator.
"I created Tyler the Creator / Here go court side seats / You are now watching the greatest / Shades blocking the haters / Stays rockin' the latest / The show goes on / Until I start aiming the lasers," he boasts.
"It's poking jokes and taking shots, but that’s what I do," Game explained to XXLmag.com about the inflammatory track. "Anybody that takes it personal, they really shouldn’t but if you do, we can go there."
We don't think any rapper will get offended by Game's song, outside of its desperate ploy to get attention for his upcoming LP. However, it would be interesting to hear what Jay-Z thinks of Game's rhymes.
