Country legend Garth Brooks made the decision to cancel his Thanksgiving appearance on NBC's 'The Tonight Show' in the wake of the grand jury decision not to indict Ferguson police office Darren Wilson in the killing of unarmed teenager Mike Brown.

Garth took to Facebook to post about the decision, citing the 'civil unrest' apparent in the country, saying any appearance to promote his own material would be 'distasteful.' He did, however, offer to reschedule any canceled appearances. You can read the entire statement above.

Some fans were upset with the decision, claiming to toss their Garth Brooks CDs into the trash, but just as many fans were supportive of the choice, calling Garth a 'class act.'
