British pop star George Michael has recorded a version of Stevie Wonder's ballad 'You and I' in tribute to the upcoming nuptials between Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Michael was a guest on Friday's edition of CNN's 'Piers Morgan Tonight,' on which he premiered the song while singing the praises of the couple and William's late mother, Princess Diana. "I'm incredibly happy for William, incredibly happy for his partner, and I'm absolutely sure that Diana would have loved the whole thing," said Michael. "I really hope she would have loved this track."

The track is available for free download on Michael's official site. The onetime Wham! singer encourages people who download the song to make a contribution to the Prince William & Miss Catherine Middleton Charitable Gift Fund.

The royal wedding of William and Kate is set to take place on April 29 in London.
