Might "The Boss" be coming to 'Glee?' If executive producer Ian Brennan has his way, Bruce Springsteen will make a guest appearance on the show in Season 3.

Brennan says he wants Springsteen to play a motivational speaker on the show. When asked if he's reached out to the rocker, Brennan replied, "No, we are still on hiatus, and we won't start writing for another couple of weeks. We have sat down and talked a little bit about where we want the show to go but we haven't written anything yet."

If the idea works out, Springsteen would join a long line of famous musicians guesting on the show, including Britney Spears, Josh Groban, Olivia Newton-John and Eve.

Brennan speculated about where the writing team might take the series in Season 3, offering that the cast may compete in Paris and that some cast members will graduate.

He also revealed there will be a fascinating new character on the show, but remained remarkably vague about it: "I can't even tell you whether it's a guy or a girl, but we are very, very excited about the prospect of bringing on this new person. It going to be really, really good, and totally interesting, something we had totally not thought of."
