The next episode of 'Glee' features a creative mashup of two songs called 'Cherish.' The familiar pop song by Madonna meshes with the classic ballad by the Association to form a romantic new track.

Since both songs used the words "cherish" and "perish" throughout, the new medley combines them into a seamless message of love. Quinn takes the lead as the cast sings, "You don't know how many times I've wished that I could / Mold you into someone who could / Cherish the thought of always having you here by my side, oh baby I / Perish is the word that more than applies / To the hope in my heart each time I realize."

We would have preferred to hear a bit more of Madge's infectious pop hit, as it seems that every time the medley really started to take off with Madonna's chorus, it flipped back to the oldie ballad. At least the song smartly includes her declaration, "Can't get away, I won't let you / I could never forget to / Cherish is the word I use to remind me of your love."

'Cherish / Cherish' is part of the 'Glee' Valentine's Day episode called 'Heart,' which focuses on the romantic interests of Rachel and Finn, Brittany and Santana, and even Rachel's dads, as well as the efforts of Artie and Rory as they try to woo Sugar. The show airs on FOX on Feb. 14 at 8PM ET.
