When we caught up with 13-year-old Greyson Chance a few weeks ago, he told us that he will release his new album "around back-to-school time." We know now that 'Hold On 'Til The Night' will officially drop on Aug. 2!

Though we've only seen two singles from the teen star so far -- 'Waiting Outside the Lines' and his latest, 'Unfriend You' -- we know that he's got a lot of heart and soul underneath his kid-sized exterior.

'Hold On 'Til The Night,' released on the label made exclusively for him by Ellen DeGeneres, eleveneleven, will be an extended play version of Chance's hits, and will blend elements of pop, rock and soul.

"I think that a lot of people think I’m a 13-year-old, so they’re like, ‘Oh, well we know what he’s gonna do, ’cause he’s 13!’ and it’s completely opposite," he stresses to PopCrush. "I think it’s going to surprise a lot of people. I think everybody thinks I’m gonna go down because of my age, and because of everything. They think I’m gonna go down the pop road — that teenage type of pop road. I’m really not. Everything that I do is very meaningful, and it has a background, it has a reason behind it."
