Gwen Stefani is a pink lady on the cover of the November issue of InStyle. The mag's lineup of fall cover gals has been incredibly musical, with Beyonce and Katy Perry preceding their fellow diva Stefani. But Stefani's cover isn't exactly promoting the long delayed new No Doubt album. Instead, the successful L.A.M.B. and Harajuku Lovers designer is launching Harajuku Mini for Target next month, so what better way t0 promote her children's mass market line than with a fashion spread?

Can we just say that we love when she swaps her signature red lipstick in favor of bright pink? It so works for her. Few women can rock the platinum blonde hair and tomato red lipstick at the same time like Stefani! It's often too harsh of a combo, but when you're naturally drop dead gorgeous like Gwen, you can pull off two extreme looks with ease. She even said that she puts on her makeup every day, even if it's just to lounge around the house. Spoken like a true glamazon.

Stefani doesn't relegate the cosmetic-induced drama to her lips in the photo spread within the magazine. She turns things up a notch with the electric blue eyeliner instead. The jewel-toned, rich ensembles she wears further elevate her edgy take on Old Hollywood glam.

In her feature, Stefani said that being a mother to the criminally cute Kingston, 5, and Zuma, 3, is "the most challenging thing I do." She also came clean about swapping her micromanaging tendencies out in favor of delegating tasks. "You don’t have to be on a ladder in a warehouse, micromanaging. You can be at home. And teamwork is also such a big part of marriage and parenting,” she said.

And sorry to any ladies out there hoping to copy Stefani's flaxen locks. She won't reveal which shade number of L'Oreal she uses, so you'll just have to eyeball it if you want to pull off the same hue. As a L'Oreal spokeswoman, it's good to know she uses what she endorses.

The new issue of InStyle lands on stands on Oct. 21.
