This week, Coach Inc., designer of the popular handbags, has confirmed that Gwyneth Paltrow will serve as the new face of the brand's international campaign -- marking its 70th anniversary this fall as well as next spring.

In the recent months, Paltrow has continued to be one of the most sought after actresses around who can also sing, as she's had countless appearances on the hit television show, 'Glee' -- which spawned a friendship with Matthew Morrison and and a duet on his upcoming album. She's even launching a singing career in pop/country genre after her role as Kelly Canter in 'Country Strong.'

"[Gwyneth is] a natural choice," says Coach's President and Executive Creative Director, Reed Krakoff. "She embodies the spirit, energy and elegance of the Coach brand."

Paltrow's first look for the Coach print, digital and outdoor ads were shot by acclaimed photographer Peter Lindbergh on a Manhattan rooftop. The ads will be used for select markets in Asia and Europe, including France, Spain, the UK, Portugal and China.

"I grew up in New York City, and I’ve always thought of Coach as the quintessential New York brand," Paltrow said after news broke of her latest career move. "I’ll never forget getting my first Coach bag."

Paltrow's modeling for Coach is not her first time being the face of a highly-recognized fashion brand. Previously, Paltrow has modeled for Tod’s and Christian Dior.

Look for Paltrow's first line of ads for Coach to surface in September.
