Gwyneth Paltrow excited New Jersey Gleeks on Thursday when she joined the cast of 'Glee' for a performance of 'Forget You' during their live concert at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford.

"On my way to Glee live! Rock. On,” the Oscar-winning actress tweeted before the show. Paltrow was dressed in full Holly Holliday gear, complete with a sassy skirt, mock turtleneck and knee-high boots. The stage was set up just like the glee club's choir room, and her castmates provided back-up as she sang the popular Cee Lo Green cover.

Judging by their reaction, the audience enjoyed the celeb drop-in, but Ashley Fink might have been the most excited cast member. She later tweeted, “Tonight. Is. Off. The. Chain. AND in 3D. Now that’s winning.”

While Paltrow has had nothing but good things to say about her experience on 'Glee,' her guest appearance wasn't just for kicks. Thursday night’s concert was filmed for the 'Glee Live! 3D!' film, which is due out in theaters on August 12.

The actress has gained notoriety in the music industry since appearing on the hit Fox series -- she performed 'Forget You' with Green at the 2011 Grammys -- and playing the role of a trouble country singer in 'Country Strong.' Paltrow, who appears on Matthew Morrison's solo debut, was reportedly in talks with Atlantic Records about releasing a solo album, but the deal has fizzled for now.
