Justin Bieber's recent photos in Japan with Sofia Richie, Lionel Richie's 17-year-old daughter, made a vocal section of his fans angry. Their response made Justin angry, with the "Sorry" singer threatening to go Instagram private if fans "don't stop the hate." HIS response rankled his ex Selena Gomez enough for her to tell Justin, "don't be mad at your fans" in an Instagram comment. Are you exhausted yet? Well, the messiness continues: Another rumored ex of Justin's is displeased over his recent behavior, according to PEOPLE.

Hailey Baldwin, Guess model and daughter of Stephen Baldwin, is allegedly upset over Bieber's new friend Sofia, on top of the fact that he unfollowed her on social media (in 2016, this move is the proverbial salt in the breakup wound).

"Justin unfollowed Hailey on social media, and now all their friends are talking s--- on Sofia and him and how messed up it is," PEOPLE's source claims. Though a subsequent theory that Sofia "made" Justin unfollow Hailey is shaky at best, possible supporting evidence of Hailey's anger comes by way of a cryptic August 15 Instagram note that she has since deleted.

"We've all had our fair share of things we've done, both good and bad. What makes the present so powerful is when we take complete responsibility for our actions, we allow ourselves self-growth," she wrote in the now-deleted comment. "Misplacing the blame onto someone else isn't going to get you to the next stage in life, so try not to manipulate a situation to make yourself look better. The truth always come to light, so it's better just to own it."

Though Bieber had never officially confirmed Baldwin as his girlfriend, the pair's time together was well-documented on each other's Instagram feeds and had been spotted together since 2015. She also appeared in Bieber's February 2016 GQ profile, in which the pop star and the profile writer Caity Weaver found Hailey idling in his hotel waiting for Justin to return:

[Hailey] is the only one in his room (except for Esther the dog, who smells incredible). When we enter, Hailey is wearing a black crop top and tight black pants, sitting on a pristinely made bed. She is doing nothing—no TV, no book, no phone, no computer, no music, no oil paints, nothing. She is pretty and polite and 19 and asks me, “What’s up?”

After they left Hailey behind in the room, Weaver asked Justin if she's his girlfriend. He shook his head no "emphatically," and when asked if Hailey is just 'a friend he kisses' he replied "Uh-huh, I guess so." Later, he added that Hailey is "someone I really love. We spend a lot of time together," but said he has too many responsibilities to "damage" Hailey by rushing into something.

Did Justin wind up hurting Hailey anyway? Read PEOPLE's account, and feel free to wildly speculate — but it seems that following her Instagram deletion, Hailey's final words on the matter are "no comment."
