Haley Reinhart Makes Steven Tyler ‘Hear God’ With Her Version of ‘Beautiful’

There's no denying that Haley Reinhart, one of two remaining females on 'American Idol' this season, has a beautiful voice; so it was fitting for the blond sweetheart to tackle Carole King's 'Beautiful' on tonight's episode. But Reinhart was beyond beautiful. She was, in fact, godlike, according to judge Steven Tyler.

"You are as beautiful as all that song is," the prone-to-hyperbole Tyler said. "I heard God in your voice. You nailed it. Yes, you did. Yes you did."

Apart from Steven Tyler's divine visions, Reinhart struggled just a little bit and sometimes blended in too much with her backup vocalists. But for the most part, her come-hell-or-high-water voice demanded to be heard and she kicked things up a notch with a big and bold ending.

Randy Jackson wasn't hearin' God, though. He was critical of how the song started, but did go on to say that Reinhart reeled him in towards the end. Jennifer Lopez did not agree; she firmly stated that Reinhart has one of the best voices of the entire competition and wasn't having any of what Jackson was dishing out.

We'll see if America agrees when the results come back tomorrow night.
