Tonight on 'American Idol,' contestants had to take on the tracks penned by legendary songwriters Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, and Haley Reinhart chose to take on the song originally made famous by Ben E. King, 'I (Who Have Nothing).' Reinhart came full circle from her not-so-great first performance, using this week's mentor Lady Gaga's advice to her advantage.

During Reinhart's rehearsal, Lady Gaga (who was wearing a blond cropped wig spotted with black patches) told Reinhart that she needed to start bringing the drama. She said, "You're amazing," but that Haley needs to make them think she's "one laugh away from tears," telling the young 'Idol' contestant to channel French singer Edith Piaf.

Reinhart used Gaga's advice and the judge's negative comments from her first performance to fuel her emotionally ravaging performance. Backed by a full orchestra, Reinhart hit it big with her performance of 'I (Who Have Nothing),' bringing her raspy vocals to new heights as she wailed. Reinhart brought the drama, conveying the song's deep and melancholy lyrics wonderfully.

We're sure Reinhart made Gaga proud, but what about the judges? Jennifer Lopez went crazy for Reinhart's performance, saying, "This is why we can't take it easy on you. Look at what you're capable of ... One of the best performances of the year." Jackson was blown away, saying, "This is what you have to do. One of your best vocals ever." Steven Tyler concurs, saying, "You just Reinharted yourself into the middle of next week."

Well, we're not sure what 'Reinharted' means, but Haley certainly blew it out of the water with her second performance. Hopefully, her first performance isn't having America think negatively.
