Smoky voiced temptress Haley Reinhart was voted off tonight's episode of  'American Idol.' While Reinhart seemed to improve as the season progressed, the 95 million Americans who voted this week (which is the highest tally of non-finale episode votes in the show's storied history) ultimately chose Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina to advance to the finals over her.

Reinhart, who is an edgy, unique and husky hybrid of Joss Stone and Janis Joplin, may be getting off the 'American Idol' train right now, but she will remain on a music business path, simply because she is too talented to give up now. Sure, she has a lot to learn and has plenty of room for improvement, but she has undoubtedly mastered the fundamentals as she works toward a career in pop stardom.

We're not going to lie -- Reinhart looked super pissed at the results and we can't blame her, since she got thisclose to the finals. But she handled herself like a pro and stifled any emotions she may have been feeling when she performed her swan song, which was a reprisal of Elton John's 'Bennie and the Jets.' Reinhart enjoyed herself during her last hurrah on the 'Idol' stage and behaved like a pro. Good job, Haley.

Next week's finale episodes air on Tuesday and Thursday, pitting McCreery and Alaina against one another.
