On Nov. 8, 2011, Heavy D of Heavy D & the Boyz passed away very unexpectedly at age of 44. Just a few weeks earlier, Heavy D was rocking the stage at the BET Hip-Hop Awards and at Michael Jackson's tribute concert in Wales.

Heavy D, who was born Dwight Arrington Myers and was also known as the 'Overweight Lover,' became famous for his feel-good music and positive attitude. Throughout his career, Heav, who was born in Jamaica, went on to release memorable hits like 'Now That We Found Love,' 'Got Me Waiting' and 'Big Daddy.'

Around the time of his passing, Heavy D was suffering from pneumonia, and many are blaming the illness for his death. As of yet, his cause of death hasn't been confirmed, but one thing is for sure -- Heavy D will always be missed.
