Sad news for Hilary Duff fans, as the actress and singer has revealed that those looking forward to her comeback album will have to wait a few more months than previously expected.

It was reported earlier this week that all signs pointed to an Oct. 14, 2014 release date for her untitled 2014 album.  But the former 'Lizzie McGuire' star took to Twitter to reveal that the album won't be arriving until later this year.

"Guys hate to break this news but the album won't be out in October," she tweeted on Aug. 29. "You will have to wait a few more months. Love all the excitement tho"

Duff has already released two singles from the album, 'Chasing the Sun' and 'All About You.' The album will be Duff's first since 2007's 'Dignity,' and in addition to the two singles already released, the 26-year-old star has announced that one of her songs will be a collaboration with Ed Sheeran.
