In addition to looking like the Britney Spears of the early '00s in itsy bitsy, strappy white bikini on the cover of Shape, the singer made two huge reveals about her future regarding her long-rumored Las Vegas residency and the direction of her upcoming eighth album.

Let's work backwards here. All Britney Jean said about album No. 8 is that "the record is definitely going to be more hip-hop than pop this time around." We'll take it and can't wait to hear her go that route and explore it further.

While Brit's team had been brokering the lucrative Vegas deal for quite some time, the singer finally and officially confirmed the plans, saying that she is working out like a madwoman so she can be physically in shape to handle the workload.

"I’m working out really hard for my upcoming shows in Vegas," Brit said regarding her two-year run at Planet Hollywood, which is expected to open in the fall. "The performances won’t be special — they’ll be a massive party from start to finish. And to pull this off, I have to be in top condition and running at full speed."

At least she's prepared and wants to host the shindig of all shindigs in Sin City.

Brit also offered a little insight into what she has planned, saying, "I’m excited because the shows will have state-of-the-art technology and be really cutting-edge."

Most importantly, she chose to do a residency since it allows her to be with her sons and doesn't put much distance between them. "But a big part of my decision to do this was my boys," Brit admitted. "When they’re not with me in Nevada, I can hop on a plane and be with them in Los Angeles in 45 minutes."

What a good mom she is!

She's also her own woman, choosing to get into better shape for one person – herself.

"Since I was a little girl, being active and taking care of myself has been a part of who I am," Brit Brit said. "So when I’ve been heavier or I haven’t met my own standards, it’s been a personal choice to get back in shape — not because of anyone else’s opinions."

Amen, sister.
