Drake, ‘Take Care’ – Best 2012 Hip-Hop Songs

Drake's melancholy ballad 'Take Care' (featuring Bajan songstress Rihanna) became a chart-topping hit and spawned countless cover versions, including a stunning rendition performed by pop siren Florence Welsh.

The downtempo track is very emotive, as Drake raps about taking the plunge into a serious relationship despite feelings of apprehension. Rihanna's deep hook will induce goosebumps, as will the minimal beat, but everything picks up with the Gil Scott-Heron-sampled breakdown.

The accompanying Yoann Lemoine-directed video is also quite impressive, with captivating images of picturesque landscapes and animals moving in slow motion.
