Kendrick Lamar tackles the issue of alcoholism on 'Swimming Pools (Drank).' The Compton spitfire details how excessive drinking affected his family and the peer pressures that comes along with it.

In the opening verse, K-Dot paints a picture of its abusers. "Now I done grew up around some people living their life in bottles / Granddaddy had the golden flask / Backstroke every day in Chicago," he raps. "Some people like the way it feels / Some people wanna kill their sorrows / Some people wanna fit in with the popular / That was my problem / I was in the dark room."

The cautionary ode 'Swimming Pools' is a compelling song of how the cycle of alcohol abuse can disrupt human lives.
