‘Honey Boo Boo’ Star Anna Cardwell: ‘I Feel Very Hurt’ by Mama June’s Relationship With Sex Offender

As more details emerge from the 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' drama, Anna Cardwell revealed she feels "betrayed" by her mother's relationship with Mark McDaniel, the man who served 10 years in prison after allegedly molesting her more than decade ago.

Anna, who is now 20, sat down with 'Entertainment Tonight' to discuss the situation. According to Cardwell, McDaniel molested her when she was 8 years old. At the time, her mother was dating McDaniel. (More details on the 2003 case can be read here.)

While Mama June posted a Facebook video denying claims that she's dating McDaniel again, Anna isn't quite buying it.

"She never told me she believes me," Anna told ET. "She never said, 'Hey Anna, I'm sorry for not believing you and I still don't believe you to this day.'"

Anna elaborated on her feelings about the reported relationship.

"It's Mama's fault," she said. "She has to live with it. She has brung the past back and now she can't get it away. I'm mad. I'm upset. I feel betrayed. I feel very hurt. That's the main thing that I am -- I feel very hurt that Mama let him come around."

And despite Anna's pleas, Mama June won't stay away from McDaniel for the good of the children in the family.

"It's like she's happy," Anna said. "She's smiling and giggling when he's around. You know, he's a child molester, Mama. He did this to me. Why would you let him come around the girls knowing what he did? And reportedly done it to another girl? And Mama was like, 'Oh, he never done it to another girl.'"

Meanwhile, TMZ reports that Sugar Bear, Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson's father, will not fight for custody of her unless things escalate between Mama June and McDaniel. Insiders tell the site that Sugar Bear does not feel equipped to care for his 9-year-old son, let alone another child.
