Hope Solo, the goalkeeper for the U.S. women's soccer team, was arrested early Saturday morning in Seattle and charged with two counts of domestic violence. Solo, 32, was charged with assaulting her 17-year-old nephew and her sister at a family gathering.

The Seattle Times reports that around 1 a.m., cops were alerted to a 911 disturbance call in which a male stated that a female at a residence was hitting people, and that they could not get her to stop or leave the house.

When police arrived, Solo appeared "intoxicated and upset." There were also visible injuries on Solo’s nephew and her sister. Officers then determined that Solo was the primary aggressor and had instigated the assault after interviewing members of the family.

This wouldn't be the first assault case that Solo has been involved with. On Nov. 12, 2012, Solo's then-fiancée Jerramy Stevens was arrested for domestic assault that left Solo injured. He was never formally charged with a crime due to a lack of evidence. Solo and Stevens then got married the next day, Nov. 13, 2012.

Solo has won two Olympic gold medals as part of the U.S. women's soccer team. Solo also appeared on the 13th season of 'Dancing With the Stars' which premiered in 2011.
