Wonder what the heck Jason Mraz was doing at the country music awards tonight (Nov. 6)? He was there to support pal and duet partner Hunter Hayes, of course!

Jason joined Hunter at the 2013 CMA Awards in Nashville, Tenn., to perform their tune, 'Everybody's Got Somebody But Me.' The charming rendition was a little bit country AND a little bit rock and roll!

In a nod to the single's official music video, Hunter kicked things off backstage, playing guitar and singing and knocking on Jason's dressing room door. Jason burst out to join him, with both then wending their way through backstage and the crowd.

Both guys were casually dressed down and the whole performance had an effortlessly casual vibe -- but their tight vocal harmonies were anything but casual. And Hunter's falsetto at the end the tune? Flawless!

The guys ended the tune with an intro to the evening's Best New Artist nominees that managed to be as musical as the rest of their performance.
