After 10 years of marriage, Broadway stars Idina Menzel and husband Taye Diggs have split. Details about the parting of ways are scarce, as they often tend to be in sensitive situations such as this.

Reps released a statement, confirming that “Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs have jointly decided to separate at this time. Their primary focus and concern is for their son. We ask that you respect their privacy during this time.”

At least they are keeping their priorities straight during a difficult time.

The pair, who were somewhat low key by celeb couple standards, met back in the mid-1990s, when both were starring in the original production of ‘Rent’ on Broadway.

Menzel, who played the biological mother of Lea Michele‘s Rachel Berry on ‘Glee,’ and Diggs, both age 42, wed in 2003. The union produced their son, Walker, who was born in 2009.

Menzel also voiced the role of Queen Elsa in the recently-released ‘Frozen.’
