Iggy Azalea Returns to Twitter, Addresses New Music, Shade, Lady Gaga and Horses

After many bumpy stop-and-start attempts to step away from social media over the past year, it seems Iggy Azalea has finally got the hang of the whole "Log Off" thing by the end of 2015, popping in only sporadically — about once a month now — to give her ever-loyal Azaleans updates about her life and her upcoming LP, Digital Distortion, the title of which she revealed (where else?) in a tweet.

"Hi guys i know its been a while," she began — her first tweet since November 1.

To kick things off in her grand return to social media, I-G-G-Y jumped straight into drama: "We are days from 2016, but i came online today and saw its still cool to try and discredit my 2014 accomplishments. LOL, fucking hell," she wrote.

Although she didn't call out Erykah Badu by name, it seems pretty clear that she's reacting to the "definitely not rap!" shade heard 'round the world from the Soul Train Awards over the weekend. Then again, Iggy hates whenever anyone the media speculates, so that's an unconfirmed assumption. Maybe she's addressing a pesky Internet troll? Who knows!

But! After shaking that off, she #StoppedTheDramaStartedTheMusic and went into what really matters for her fans: The new stuff.

Seems exhausting. Anyway - Ive been enjoying the holiday season and i hope you all have too. I dont really know what im doing with my music release; but im finished (except for getting the features recorded). Right now i live in america and am very close to the Def Jam team; but im actually signed out of the UK. Things are complicated. Im ready with my music but i am also trying to restructure some things to work smoother and better for me. So we are all kind of still just figuring out how things should work and id guess thats going to take a few weeks.

Sounds, um, complicated? Sorry to hear it.

More entertaining were Iggy's random outbursts out of nowhere, including one about Lady Gaga — and a Debbie Downer moment about her horse. (Sad horse news update for horse lovers coming up...)

"also. rando comment. Lady gaga looks beautiful in her holiday commercial with Tony and its put me in the christmas spirit," she wrote of Mother Monster's new commercial. "Also horse update for any fellow horse lovers, one of mine might have Lymes :( that or hes just not doing with well in this climate. we are waiting on blood work. So i hope he will get better, but its already been 3 months without riding him and he may have to go back to the east coast. so im a little heart broken but still hopeful about things. Defender is doing fine and has been consoling me. lol."

Before signing off, Iggy wished everyone a happy new year. "I'll let you guys know if i get any updates, but if not... see you next year! enjoy the rest of 2015. xoxo."
