See the First ‘Insurgent’ Teaser Trailer [VIDEO]

The highly anticipated film sequel to the 'Divergent' series is just a few months away, and it looks like the first trailer for 'Insurgent' is finally here! And, judging by the trailer, this installment is definitely going to deliver on crazy intensity, just like the books.

The trailer opens on Tris (played by Shailene Woodley), looking over piles of debris and destruction, when she sees her mom. Fans of 'Divergent' are aware that (spoiler alert!) Tris' mom died in the last installment, so we assume this is some type of hallucination or dream, but it adds to the gloomy imagery of the trailer and does a fantastic job setting up the mood for the upcoming film.

Although the trailer doesn't give away any real plot points -- readers of the book series are bound to know what's coming, anyway -- it's a perfect look into the dystopian world that 'Divergent' set up so well.

The movie is slated for release on Mar. 20, 2015. Be sure to check out the trailer above!
