Isabelle Huppert walked the red carpet at the 2017 Golden Globe Awards in a pale blue ensemble that appears in two parts: a sheer, jewel-encrusted long-sleeved top that finished in a simply smooth skirt.

The French actress won the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama for her role in Elle, provocateur Paul Verhoeven's controversial and complex film about a woman's quest to turn the tables on her rapist. Though Huppert has acted for more than 40 years in France, this was her first Golden Globe nomination and win. This year she has already won the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Actress, the Gotham Independent Film Award for Best Actress, and the Satellite Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture for her breakthrough achievement in Elle.

Hosted by Jimmy Fallon, the 74th annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony takes place at the Beverly Hilton hotel on Sunday, January 8, broadcast live on NBC beginning at 8 PM EST. The 2017 Golden Globes nominees were announced on December 12, with actress Meryl Streep selected as the honoree of the year's Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award.
