Major Lazer decided to remix their own song 'Get Free,' enlisting rapper J. Cole to perform on the new track, which was renamed ‘Get Free ColeWorld.’

Cole gets political, spitting, “I smell bulls---, it must be an election year / The more I listen man, the more you sound less sincere / Still I’m watching CNN trying to keep up / In my interviews maybe I should speak up.

The real fireworks, though, come at the very end -- an audio clip from Tupac Shakur’s 1995 interview from jail begins to play, in which he urges rappers to care about their communities and not just offer lip service in their lyrics.

The track was released for free online in honor of the one-year anniversary of the release of J. Cole’s ‘Cole World’ album. Cole tweeted, “Much love to @majorlazer and my man @diplo. Let this be a thank you to all of you who bought a copy of my 1st album 1 year ago today. The words were too relevant to keep this in the stash."

‘Get Free’ appears on the upcoming Major Lazer release ‘Free the Universe.’ The album version features Amber Coffman of the Dirty Projectors.
