Jacob Lusk's soulful performance of Luther Vandross, 'A House Is Not a Home' on tonight's 'American Idol' struck a special chord with judge J. Lo, who revealed that Vandross is her favorite singer of all time.

Lusk hit the stage ready to perform, dressed in a suit and tie and carrying a big voice. He smiled at the judges and looked like he was keeping a secret as he shared this religious 'Idol' experience.

Truthfully, maybe his secret is that he's Luther Vandross reincarnated, because as Lopez noted (through tears), "This is what's so exciting about this show, because he's gone -- but now we have you."

Steven Tyler declared that it was a "divine intervention" that brought Lusk to the 'Idol' stage tonight, and admitted that he was honored to be in the contestant's presence. "I don't know where you get it from, man, but I will bathe in it," the Aerosmith frontman told Lusk, adding, "I love it!"

Randy summarized the judges' opinion of Lusk's Vandross performance by saying simply, "I don't think there's anything that you can't sing, dude. I think we're lucky to have you on here."

Fans will have the chance to vote on their favorite 'Idol' contestants for two hours following tonight and tomorrow's episodes, with the results to be revealed on Thursday.
