James Durbin blew the roof off the 'American Idol' auditorium tonight with his amazing rendition of the Platinum-certified Muse song 'Uprising.' Durbin chose to sing the British hard rockers' song for tonight's performance, which sees the 'Idol' hopeful picking songs from the 21st century.

Durbin opened with a theatrical bang, emerging from the audience with a fully costumed marching band drummers escorting him onstage. Durbin was dressed in what Steven Tyler described as "'Mad Max' meets Storm Troopers on Melrose," telling him "you stay out my closet now." Durbin soared through 'Uprising,' hitting notes so high it could make your hairs stand on end. Durbin also amped up the crowd, shrieking "come on" as the song hit it's two signature wailing guitar chords.

Everyone went crazy for Durbin's performance, and Randy Jackson even told Durbin that Muse singer Matt Bellamy wrote saying he was going to challenge Durbin to a sing-off! Jackson continues, "I think I am going to go out on a limb and say this is probably gonna be the best performance of the night." Jennifer Lopez agrees, saying she loved Durbin's theatrics and high notes. Steven Tyler also praised the rockin' contestant, saying, "I just love that you are out of your mind, beautifully so."

We completely agree! Durbin is wild, electrifying and proud to do his own thing, and that is what keeps people wanting more and more of him. We are going to go out a limb just like Randy Jackson and say that Durbin is going to make it to see another week of performances.
