Oh James Durbin, you are dreamy. For his 1970s song on tonight's episode of 'American Idol,' the rocker once again endeavored to show us his softer side, performing the devastating ballad 'Without You' by Harry Nilsson. The song's hook is "I can't live / If living is without you" and we're starting to think we can't live without The Durbs!

In the pre-performance package, Durbin talked about how much he misses his family while he embarks on this journey and he was visibly emotional. That emotion seeped from every pore in his body as he performed one of the saddest songs we've ever heard.

It was also one of the most emotional 'Idol' performances of all time. No, the performance was not flawless or mistake-free by any means, but it was signature James Durbin. He was visibly emotional and he even cried after he closed out the song and there wasn't a dry eye in our house, either. What was impressive, though, was how Durbin sang through his emotion and kept a handle on his tears. It didn't interfere with his performance and that takes skill, all the while informing his performance.

Randy Jackson said, "You were fighting back emotions and for you to give a vocal like you gave? It wasn't perfect, but it was emotionally perfect. That's what the audience really feels." Jackson also offered a huge statement to Durbin, saying, "This competition? It's yours to lose.

Ladies and gentlemen, do we have a winner? We just might.
