Jamie Lynn Spears to Release a Country Album

Well, shut our mouths! Jamie Lynn Spears is strapping on her best riding chaps and preparing to go hog wild… With a country music album!

Spears first showed off her twang talents back in November, when she stopped into a bar in downtown Nashville and sang to her entire family and country legend Pam Tillis, who was in the crowd. A few dimly-lit cellphone videos that surfaced a few days later proved that little Dixie Spears got her sister Britney‘s musical talents and even a few songwriting skills of her own.

Now, it seems that Jamie Lynn is actually going to see out her life-long dreams of becoming a country star! Spears is said to be making her country music debut, in the form of a premiere album, in 2012.

In a recent photo shoot with PEOPLE, the hopeful spoke of her toddler daughter and how the career move would impact her. Spears said, “As long as my world can still revolve around her, then the rest will just fall into place. That’s what I think has been very organic and perfect about my music.”
