Life imitates art (or rather, art imitates life) in Jane Zhang's unreal new music video for "Dust My Shoulders Off," her breezy, upbeat, no-f---s-given iTunes Top 10 bop with producer and collaborator Timbaland.

The refreshing, imaginative clip kicks off with Zhang wandering a museum as someone on her cell phone—a terrible boss, it sounds like—chides her for making a mistake as she apologizes profusely.

Suddenly, Zhang appears inside one of the famous paintings (Edward Hopper's 1942 "Nighthawks"), and things only get more surreal and Wonderland-esque from there.

Throughout the video, the Chinese crossover pop star turns up inside a number of iconic international artworks, from Vincent Van Gogh's famed self-portrait to Johannes Vermeer's "Girl With a Pearl Earring," for which Zhang's face is literally painted.

She also makes an appearance lounging under a parasol in Georges Seurat's "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte," as well as shrieking in Edvard Munch's "The Scream," all before entering a Salvador Dalian dreamscape of surrealist proportions.

Zhang also references a handful of real-world pop culture moments, like Men in Black and Mike Tyson's infamous ear-biting incident, drawing a cheeky parallel between fact and fantasy.

Soon, our almost-Alice ends up right back where she started from, and high school art teachers everywhere are shook.

Watch up top.
