Neck tattoos are serious business, even when they are computer-generated, like the ones Jason Derulo boasts on his illustrated 'Tattoos' album cover.

The album, which follows 'Future History,' an album he was unable to properly promote due to his neck injury, sustained while rehearsing for tour, is out Sept. 24. It marks the singer, songwriter and dancer's third album and houses his hit 'The Other Side,' a grower track that has steadily gained momentum.

"Life altering experiences are like tattoos stuck to you for life," Derulo said in a statement explaining his new platter's title. "Some are more painful than others, some may be ugly so we wish we could undo them. Some may be so beautiful that we want to share them with the world. But they're all part of the art that makes you who you are."

That's a beautiful perspective.

We love the profile shot of Derulo with tattoos crawling up his ear. Notice that a pair of song titles are buried in the neck piece, as well. Can you find them? Wonder if his girlfriend Jordin Sparks' name is factored in some way or some how. You never know!
