Khaleesi Says Jay Z Got Beyonce a ‘Game of Thrones’ Dragon Egg

Did you know that Beyonce loves Game of Thrones? Neither did we, but Jay Z did because he reportedly bought her one of those Khaleesi dragon eggs.

In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke said, "Apparently Jay Z bought one for Beyoncé, or something. I don't know." That's kind of a huge thing to just drop into the middle of a sentence without clarification, yet here we are.

Here's the thing about celebrities: they are notoriously difficult to buy gifts for -- probably, we don't actually know any. But think about it: What do you get someone who has the means to buy whatever they want, whenever they want it? Your gifts have to become increasingly well-curated over the years. Once you've been otherworldly-wealthy for a while, an original manuscript handwritten by F. Scott Fitzgerald just isn't that impressive, you know? Paying a Dark Wizard to reanimate his corpse so you can critique Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby together would be infinitely cooler. So when we found out that Jay Z threw down cash to get Beyonce a pretty creative gift, we weren't surprised.

Does this mean it's safe to assume what we've hoped all along: That Beyonce is a massive Game of Thrones fan? What else could it possibly mean? That she likes expensive Faberge-style eggs, no matter the origin story? Beyonce should return the favor and buy Jay Z his own Iron Throne, kind of like Leslie Knope did for Ben in that one Parks and Recreation episode.
