It was date night for Jay-Z and Beyonce!

The power couple spent Sunday (April 15) together at a restaurant and watching a basketball game in New York City. Paparazzi spotted Jayonce as they venture out to an Italian eatery called Bar Pitti for lunch. No word on what they ate, but it had to be scrumptious (their menu looks delish!).

Beyonce was looking oh-so fabulous in her cheetah-print pants, a black brim hat and pink stiletto heels. Her hubby Jay-Z was dressed casually in a black V-neck shirt, matching denim jacket, grey pants and Nike Lebron 9 kicks. Afterward, they went to Madison Square Garden to watch the New York Knicks play against the Miami Heat.

Although the Knicks lost the game, the Carters left the venue with smiles on their faces. We guess Jay and Bey were happy that it wasn't the NJ Nets who lost the game.

Speaking of the Nets, the head owner, Mikhail Prokhorov, has shot down Kanye West's lyrical claims that he could get Kris Humphries fired from the team.

On the revised track 'Way Too Cold,' Yeezy spits "Lucky I ain’t have Jay drop him from the team" in reference to him now dating Humphries' ex-wife Kim Kardashian. However, Prokhorov contends that West has no control over Humphries' future on the Nets.

"Kris has nothing to worry about," he tells the New York Daily News. "I support my players, and I’m on his side in this epic battle."

Epic battle? No offense, but Yeezy's flippant lyrics on 'Way Too Cold' hardly constitutes an "epic battle" between him and Humphries. Furthermore, according to the paper, the Nets' general manager Billy King makes all the personnel decisions.

Although Jay-Z is often mistaken as being the owner of the Nets, his stake is small compare to Prokhorov who paid $200 million for 80% of the team in 2010. Hov reportedly bought a $4.5 million stake in the Nets in 2004.

In the end, Humphries is not phased by his ex-wife dating Kanye West. In fact, he wishes them both well. “When Kris found out about Kim going public with Kanye, he told his friends he wanted to tell West, 'good luck dude, you are going to need it,'" said an insider.
