Worlds collide as former *NSYNC bandmate JC Chasez and Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams will be touring together in a revival of the musical 'Jesus Christ Superstar' by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber. The North American tour is expected to hit 50 cities starting this summer.

Variety reports that Chasez and Williams will also be joined by Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd and former Sex Pistols vocalist John Rotten Lydon. Chasez will play the role of Pontius Pilate while Williams will play Mary Magdalene. Boyd takes on the role of Judas Iscariot and Lydon will play King Herod.

In a statement by Andrew Lloyd Webber, the British composer wrote, “‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ began life as a rock album, probably because nobody believed back in 1969 that you could present a stage musical about the last days of the life of Jesus Christ. I shall never forget its first live performance in the Civic Arena, Pittsburgh on July 12th 1971.  Of course ‘JCS’ subsequently became a legit theatre stalwart, but I, personally, have always hankered after seeing it again in the arenas where it started.”

Tickets will go on sale Apr. 11, with the show kicking off its tour in New Orleans on June 9.
