Jennifer Hudson, ‘I Got This’ – Song Spotlight

Jennifer Hudson stresses that she's cool, collected, and confident in her new song, 'I Got This,' from her forthcoming album, 'I Remember Me.'

J-Hud has a get-up-and-go attitude from the start of this motivating single, which kicks off:

"Packed up my clothes / Shut the door / Back on the road to success"

'I Got This' shares that while many have doubted her and she's overcome several obstacles in her life, she's got the strength to stand up and be the best. We especially feel her courage in this powerful verse about pushing through negativity to reach the top:

"So many tried to break me / When I got up, they knocked me down / Didn't keep me from moving / I flipped the world upside down / They said the sky was the limit / I put my footprint all in it / 'Cause I've been there / Uh-huh / I'm looking down at the moon / And if you feel like I do / Put your hands in the air"

Hudson worked with Alicia Keys, R. Kelly, Ne-Yo and Swizz Beatz on 'I Remember Me' -- an album that acts as a collective journal of all that the former 'Idol' hopeful has been through. 'I Remember Me' drops on March 22.
