And to think she was hesitant to sing in 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1'! Jennifer Lawrence has just landed her first Top 20 hit with the haunting 'The Hanging Tree.'

J. Law has cracked the Top 20 in both the U.K. and Australia, Billboard reports, with her rendition of 'The Hanging Tree' coming in at No. 14 on the U.K. singles chart and at No. 12 on the Australian singles chart. She's slated to hit the Top 40 in the U.S. this week.

The eerie song was written by 'Hunger Games' author Suzanne Collins while the Lumineers' Jeremiah Fraites and Wesley Schultz arranged the music. And no matter how much she tried to convince the producers to have soundtrack curator Lorde dub over her voice, it really is Jennifer Lawrence singing on the track.

"I cried on set that day," the Academy Award-winning recently revealed, joking that the 'The Hanging Tree' "is where I felt like going the morning I showed up."

We have a feeling that she's now singing a different tune -- no pun intended.
