Jennifer Lawrence has come out swinging against film magnate Harvey Weinstein, who's the target of several pointed sexual assault allegations in Hollywood.

Lawrence, who won an Oscar for her role in the Weinstein-produced Silver Linings Playbook in 2013, joined the likes of Meryl Streep, Kate Winslet and Glenn Close yesterday (October 9) in her condemnation of Weinstein, who's been accused of violating several women over the course of several decades.

“I was deeply disturbed to hear the news about Harvey Weinstein’s behavior,” Lawrence said in a statement to Variety. “I worked with Harvey five years ago and I did not experience any form of harassment personally, nor did I know about any of these allegations. This kind of abuse is inexcusable and absolutely upsetting.”

"My heart goes out to all of the women affected by these gross actions," she added. "And I want to thank them for their bravery to come forward.”
