In 2000, American Music Awards nominee Jennifer Lopez was forced to concede the title of Favorite Pop/Rock New Artist to eventual winner Britney Spears, but next month—15 years after her very first nom—she's the master of ceremonies.

According to BillboardLopez will serve as the official host of the 43rd annual AMAs (she's performing, too!!!), which will air on November 22 at 8 PM EST on ABC. The site says Joe Jonas and Charlie Puth will appear on Good Morning America on Tuesday (October 13) to announce the nominees, and that five brand-new categories will be introduced immediately thereafter on Snapchat.

"From my first @TheAMAs nomination 15 years ago to HOSTING the 2015 #AMAs! It's going down 11/22 on ABC!" J. Lo nostalgically tweeted after the announcement was made.

Then, once the show's over, J. Lo will have only a couple of months before her much-anticipated Las Vegas residency launches at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino’s Axis Theater, where she'll perform 19 shows between January and June. As of May, J. Lo wasn't ready to offer exact details of the show—which will chronicle her hits from the early aughts until present day—but had a nailed-down tone in mind.

"We haven’t started exactly, but in my mind, I know it’s going to be a multifaceted, high-energy kind of block party," she told USA Today.

How do you think the "Booty" singer will do as host? Sound off, and be sure to catch her on the show next month!
