Jennifer Lopez’s Boyfriend Casper Smart Sets the Record Straight on Romance

Jennifer Lopez's younger boyfriend, dancer/choreographer Casper Smart, is aware that people are talking about the couple's 18-year age difference. He responded to the chatter with a series of tweets proclaiming that age doesn't matter when it comes to love.

Smart, 24, tweeted, "Age, status, n opinions of others are irrelevant. Our hearts are endless and our souls infinite. Our ages are mere reminders of the hours logged on this earth and the precious time remaining. We should all honor our time here by indulging our passion and dreams. So, close your ears and open your hearts; Love and be happy!"

In other words, as Aaliyah once said, 'Age Ain't Nothing but a Number.' J. Lo retweeted each message in a show of solidarity. Smart later acknowledged that the tweets were not his original words, but they capture how he feels. "Good friend sent it for me and thought it was beautiful and perfect!!!," he wrote.

Smart's presence has created friction with Lopez's ex, Marc Anthony, who reportedly forbade Smart from driving around Anthony and Lopez's twins, due to Smart's arrest for drag racing. It appears that, for now at least, J. Lo and her dancer are committed to making their relationship work, regardless of who talks about them.
