Jennifer Lopez Asks Enrique Iglesias to Join Her on World Tour
Latin dynamos alert! Jennifer Lopez has asked Enrique Iglesias to join her on tour this summer. J Lo is embarking on a 60-date world tour – her first -- which will kick off in South America in June and bring her home to the U.S. in July, right around her 43rd birthday.
MTV reports that Lopez invited Iglesias on the trek. A source said the tour will have a huge production. "This will be a huge tour, complete with a lavish set, full band and team of dancers," the insider said. We're guessing Lopez's boy toy Casper Smart will be right there, front and center, dancing with J to the L-O onstage and off.
The dates are not confirmed, but the word is that the tour will hit Europe and Asia in addition to the aforementioned North and South America. There will be a rehearsal period in between the South and North American runs.
The singer/actress/dancer/judge/designer will go straight from 'American Idol' to the road.
Lopez did a mini tour with ex Marc Anthony before twins Max and Emme were born, but it was around 20 shows. She has never embarked on a full scale global trek until now.
Iglesias, you may recall, had some summer tour drama last year. He was set to hit the road with Britney Spears for her 'Femme Fatale' run but bounced hours after the big reveal. He claimed that he thought he was co-headliner, not her support act. He was replaced by Nicki Minaj. He'll likely be on equal footing with this particular tour.
