Where Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are concerned, kissing will definitely not lead to making up.

The ex-couple, who split in 2011, got fans' hopes up when they smooched at the end of a performance of “Olvidame y Pega la Vuelta” (“Forget Me and Get Out of Here”) at the 2016 Latin Grammy Awards in November. The moment seemed like the type of magic you'd otherwise find in a romance novel, but Lopez insisted on The View today (March 3) that the couple's chapter as husband and wife is permanently closed.

"You know, Marc and I are good how we are right now," Lopez said. "There is a reason we're not together but we're great friends. We're parents together and we're even working on a Spanish-language album together. That has been even better for us because actually, we met working. That's where we really are magical, when we're on stage together and stuff like that. That's where we're good and so we leave it there."

Lopez previously gushed over Anthony elsewhere in the Latin Grammys ceremony, during which she presented her ex-husband with the Latin Recording Academy’s Person of the Year Award.

"In our personal and artistic journeys, we’ve learned so much and we’ve grown so much, and you’ve always been so many things in my life: My mentor, a twin soul, a father who’s not only the person of the year, he’s the person of all time," she said.
