Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo and Ashanti are among the 21 celebrities who appear in a new Public Service Advertising video for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA). The PSA is part of the organization's latest initiative 'Great Futures Start Here,' which helps raise awareness about the social issues affecting America’s youth including illiteracy, poverty, teen violence and obesity.

J.Lo, Ne-Yo and Ashanti are BGCA alums, so it wasn't hard for them to participate in the campaign. Other alumni A-Listers in the PSA as include Denzel Washington, Mario Lopez, Shaun White, Kerry Washington, Martin Sheen, Cuba Gooding Jr., Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Edward James Olmos, Shaquille O’Neal and many others.

In the clip, we see our future generation of young boys and girls walking into the front doors of a local BGCA building, and known famous celebrities walk out of the back door. Basically, it's shows that these city-based safe havens provide a meaningful outlet for creativity and that they produce leaders, celebrities and athletes.

The music playing the background is Beyonce's soaring ballad 'I Was Here' from her latest album '4.' It's the perfect soundtrack for the PSA and drives home the point that without the BGCA, we probably wouldn't see Lopez, Ne-Yo or any of the other celebs become the great superstars that they are today.

Overall, this is a great campaign that is certainly needed as kids head back to school and face new challenges in the upcoming year. We give props to all the celebrities involved in the PSA.
