Jessa Duggar Engaged to Ben Seewald

The Duggar family just keeps growing! Jim Bob and Michelle of the TLC reality show '19 and Counting' are welcoming another member to their big clan with a new son-in-law, Ben Seewald. Their third daughter, 21-year-old Jessa, became engaged to her 19-year-old courter Thursday night (Aug. 15), according to People.

"We are so blessed to be engaged!" the couple said in a statement. "God has written an amazing story through our courtship, and another chapter has just begun! We are thrilled to see what the future holds -- especially the wedding bells!"

The pair began the courting process last year after meeting in church. To clarify, courting is very different from dating.

"Courting is getting to know each other in a group setting, both families spending time together and the couple setting goals together to determine if they are meant to marry," Jim Bob explained (via People). "With dating, a couple will often pair off alone and that sometimes leads to a more physical relationship."

Jessa and Ben previously decided to wait until their engagement for hand holding -- so today must have been an exciting day for them -- and they're waiting until their wedding day to share their first kiss.

Hopefully the next season of their hit show will reveal more of the proposal details! '19 and Counting' returns to TLC on Sept. 2 at 9PM ET.
