Jessica Simpson May Have Decided on Baby Girl Name
While Jessica Simpson may not be giving her baby girl a truly unconventional, Hollywood-style name (Apple and Moses, anyone?), she is thinking outside the box. Reports surfaced that may reveal the name of imminent pink bundle of joy. So what's the lovely little lady's moniker going to be?
Ace Showbiz reports that Simpson wanted her little girl to have a name with meaning, and Maxwell carries quite a bit of that within her new family. A source revealed that Maxwell is hubby Eric Johnson's middle name as well as Johnson's grandmother's maiden name. The sure-to-be-beautiful baby girl will be called "Max" or "Maxi" for short. Adding fuel to the rumors is the "M" pendant Simpson has been sporting around her neck (on which she also declines to comment).
Simpson revealed not just her bod, but also the sex of her baby in Elle, with the issue hitting newsstands last week. She dished on the baby name in the interview, though she wouldn't actually come out and say what it was.
"We're sure on the name. It's nothing shocking and nothing you'll have to add to the dictionary," Simpson told the mag. "Still, when people hear it, they'll know ... why."
We wonder if 3-year-old nephew Bronx (son of Simpson’s sister, Ashlee, and Ashlee's ex-husband, Pete Wentz) had a say in the name, considering he predicted the gender! "He rubs my belly. He has guesses," Simpson said of her nephew. "He said he wants it to be a girl … He thinks it’s going to be a girl."
Too cute! We can't wait to meet little Maxwell -- and to see how her 'Fashion Star' mom dresses her up!
