It’s a sad day for fans of 'The Voice' U.K. Singer Jessie J has decided to quit the British edition of the show after serving as a coach and mentor for the last two seasons.

Twitter earlier today (July 5) to announce her reasons for leaving:

Jessie will be parting ways with fellow panelists will.i.am, the Script's Danny O'Donoghue and the legendary Tom Jones in order to focus on her new album, the follow-up to her 2011 debut, 'Who You Are.'

"I've absolutely loved my time on 'The Voice' and I hope everyone saw and knows how passionately I felt about the show," she explained. "However, I can't wait to promote my new record around the world and that has to take priority."

She might not be on the panel any longer, but she still plans on following the show. "I shall be keeping a very close eye on Series 3, showing my support in every way I can, and really hope that in some way that I can be part of the show," she wrote.
