Jimmy Fallon, The Roots + Ed Sheeran Turn ‘Shape of You’ Into Classroom Jamboree

Subscribe to PopCrush on

Ed Sheeran joined Jimmy Fallon and The Roots last night (Feb. 27) on The Tonight Show to turn his newest hit, “Shape of You,” into a classroom instrument jamboree.

Sheeran rocked out the vocals of his new song with nothing but a banana shaker, while Fallon multitasked with backup vocals, a drum, a wood block…all while manning the mini Casio keyboard.

The singer-songwriter continues to make the late-night television rounds to promote his upcoming album, ÷ (divide), which will debut on March 3. Meanwhile, “Shape of You,” the first single off the album, has proven to be a hit for Sheeran: the song has already been certified Platinum in the United States, with more than one-million copies already sold.
